Heavily agenda driven podcast sacrifices philosophy on the altar of politics
Patterson gets some excellent guests and covers some great topics. Don't expect to learn much about those topics, though, unless your philosophical interests revolve narrowly around whether or not said topics are intellectually inferior to a political libertarian worldview. Patterson's line of questioning is often predictable, shy, smugly dishonest, and presumes from the get go that the only value of philosophy is to validate dominant ideology. Head to his YouTube page and you'll see that his fan base consists mostly of young men who want to "trigger sjws" and happen to have stumbled upon academic philosophy.Read full review »

Loved the episodes on race. They are the smartest, most articulate and respectful conversation I have found on the subject that get to the root of the problem and how to approach it. Looking forward to listening to all the others!
