The News Hour with Jim Lehrer is the Best News Around!

“I have been enjoying the News Hour since it was the MacNeil/Lehrer report. My late father would watch this in depth, and extremely quality program every evening. The tell tale music, the in depth reporting, the poignant questions, the evasive answers from ambassadors, heads of states, and other news making figures have always been interesting. The reporting is the best, and the interviews and analysis are always penetrating and incisive.
This is the best news and political analysis program out there, with the best journalistic integrity and honesty, and humor to boot. It is at once unbiased and yet penetrating in its inquest. I love it when Jim Lehrer conducts his Friday evening political analysis with Shields and Brooks (or Gigot, or Gergen). Both sides of the political aisle are scanned and joked about, I especially like Mark Shields and David Brooks in this segment. Jim Lehrer is outstanding. I don't know why they don't bring Robert MacNeil back, but he's retired.
All in all, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer is wonderful!

“As much as I like NewsHour, it's not worth fumbling with my ipod on a packed subway car to listen to an entire show. TV show (which we watch if home in time) is great, but I agree with others that the podcast is a real disappointment.”Read full review »

“Delivering this great show in seperate sections is a bad idea. I have to handle my iPod 3 or 4 times to listen to the daily podcast version of this show. They should at least change the name. Nothing that is 5-12 minutes long should ever be called an "Hour". The content is very good...”Read full review »
