“So much confusion and tribalism around at the moment.
I laugh at so called qualified nutritionist as they cannot seem to agree amongst themselves. Speak to one tribe and they say the others are mad or bonkers. They each say this about the other. They all have excellent qualifications of one kind or another.
So, as ordinary lay-person who’s read around the subject, I can only assume it’s not really science at all. I’m not sure what it could be called really, but it’s not settled science.
Brian takes a good balanced view by asking these kind of open- ended questions, reading a lot and calling out untruths.
Epidemiology is one of the clearest examples. It’s supposed to be tool to help guide further proper, deeper science, not prove things. So it’s a tool that’s very much misused by the media, amongst others. I like the example that there is a strong and demonstrable link or correlation between eating ice-cream and drownings. Correlation, not causation...
Brian helps illuminate these kind of issues to help ordinary people become more informed and educated than they are at the moment. Hope the big food and medical corporations don’t wage a propaganda wars against him and his team.”
