Good but far from riveting
The story telling was too bland and flat- the flat tone of Connie’s voice made her hard to like. There was only about 10-15 min of content per episode- I would have preferred a shorter more condensed series. I would have loved to understand more about her intrinsic motives for leaving and to have heard more realistic dialogue between mother and daughter as she battled her illness and demise. It came across that they didn’t have a very strong relationship at all- the daughter very indifferent to her mum’s pending death, the mother not realistic in holding back the truth from a 13 yr old who needs to comprehend why her mum ran away and what the future holds. Ok but not one I’d recommend beyond a simple listen on a commute. And only good to binge listen, the content so superficial I would have forgotten the story if I’d had to wait for weekly episodes.

The voice acting was good. The story could have been really good if the episodes were longer and they had time to let it develop. The ending was ridiculously predictable.
