Then it’s realizing that our calling is not first to win political battles but to be a messenger of the good news. Next, it’s realizing that the primary tool God has given us to change our culture is not our vote (as important as that is), but rather it’s the power of the gospel! Then, if we want to change culture, we must do it by our good living and wise speaking. And finally it’s realizing that no matter who wins the Oval Office, God is still King. He is still writing his unstoppable story of redemption. And that justice will finally win. Also, when your emotions are triggered, and you’re tempted to believe you aren’t wanted or that you’re defined by your failures, you can choose to dwell on that, or you can remind yourself of truth: that you’re loved more than you can imagine!
