On one hand it’s embarrassing to admit, but on the other, what freedom to admit to my humanness and know that I’m not suffering because God’s punishing me!” Shawna got grumpy yesterday so she woke up this morning and decided to try harder. Then she realized she was trading God’s power for will power. What if, instead, we apply our efforts AND ask God for what we need? But the last one he had went off the rails cause he forgot to share the gospel “with gentleness and respect.” The more access we have, the more self-control we need.
