Charming as hell
I really loved the first few episodes of Personal Best. On par with the likes of Heavyweight, Mystery Show and Reply All. Admist the balloon drops and keytar solos, Andrew and Rob investigate the bigger questions about human nature and modern life. Tangental characters like sandwich artists and cover band singers are pulled into the spotlight. It's funny, hilarious even, but not afraid to get serious, every once in a while. I didn’t notice the “comedy” categorization of this podcast and legitimately thought this was a self improvement show. Found myself laughing uncontrollably at every episode.
