Hilarious and thought provoking - 5 stars!
Really refreshing reminder about the human condition when confronted with the new, the foreign, the different. I would recommend this podcast to everyone and especially those who know they are stuck in their ways, curmudgeon-y and don't like change - as well as being a fact packed, wise-cracking, chuckle inducing romp through past innovation, this podcast shows us how we've always rejected inventions, called them "the devil" and then promptly all started using them in our daily lives. We are easily sucked in by fear of the new, succumb to pseudoscience and propoganda. This podcast gently and very funnily reminds us how historically this notion is often proved false and furthermore, is of en pushed on the public by the ignorant or otherwise biased individuals who seek to gain from a new inventions failure. Now go ahead and enjoy this podcast on your new iPhone 13 or whatever.Read full review »

A very useful podcast that reminds us that whatever the current moral panic is, we have been there before. Most things are not the end of the world.
