Should be “believe” not “belief”.

very hit and miss, no real quality control on guest contributors

Jan 2 episode “ Have we entered a post-knowledge era?” - With R. Sheldrake on the panel, this podcast certainly has.

These are great conversations, but sometimes the moderator will ask the speaker to get back on track in a way that deprives audiences of the full thought. This is particularly frustrating when sophisticated speakers make comments that ultimately loop back around to the main point. Let people...Read full review »

Listened to a few episodes not good at poorly written and very narrow.

Glad for Rupert Sheldrake adding a voice to these science programs.

Takes too long to get going, repetitive commercials, annoying jokes…to have to do the work to get the decent content

Wonderful debates and ideas; terrible editing. For the Podcast editor: Stop using your “cut out the silence” tool — makes it painful to listen to, very unnaturally. If you are not using such a tool, then I don’t know what’s going on, but something’s gone terribly wrong! Had to stop listening.

The content is engaging but the poor quality audio is like 1960s radio am 👎

Rupert sheldrake??? Seriously? Is this a philosophy or a pseudoscience podcast?

Have to replay to ensure I have done my best to absorb the extensive intellect shared - trying my best. Thank you.

Have listened to a few and am hooked. I love the big questions - what is consciousness? What can we know? - argued by people who really know their stuff but come from different perspectives. They also make it understandable. (Well … maybe with a few 30 second rewinds along the way …!)

A lot of the episodes are related to the philosophy of mind, epistemology, and the philosophy of science. I love this stuff.

A panel of intellectuals who clearly know what they are talking about. Interesting topics discussed at a high and yet accessible level. Just started listening this week and can’t wait to listen to more!

They could do a way better job at editing

I have listened this podcast when picking berries and mushrooms in Finnish forests as well as while walking in nature. The philosophical argumentation has been of high quality in all episodes I have listened. Most times the conversations made me think in a bit different way about things… Thank...Read full review »

Maybe very interesting but unlistenable because the audio comes out only from one side…:-/ Can you please fix it?

I’d like the conversations/debates to go on longer than the average 45 minute episode

Always great guests and discussions. One of the best Philosophy podcasts. Relatively easy to listen and actual discussions

I love the show but the audio quality is often bad.

Such a shame that this podcast has such awful audio quality. Just recording a Zoom call isn’t a podcast..
theGronant via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/05/22
I think this has the potential to be one of the best podcasts, if the conversations were longer and not cut short right as you get past the introductions of the subject matter. Your guests are amazing but it’s hard to get a real discussion in just 40 minutes. Especially when you have 4 guests....Read full review »

I’ve now listened to my first episode. The guest, Santiago Zabala, seems generally to be quite intelligent and thoughtful. However he belies his bias or, at best, his ignorance of the IDW when he makes the preposterous claim that they are in effect willfully blind to a variety of existential...Read full review »

*Humans wouldn’t do well ‘in the wild’ either *Would it be ok for aliens to let humans live 1/8th of their lifespan in ‘good conditions’ and then eat them? Does quality of such a short life mitigate early cessation of that life? *Just because humans have costume parties, does it make it ok to...Read full review »

Great episode. Background music out in the hallway is distracting. Truly annoying.

This is an excellent podcast. If you want to listen to some grown up discussion on issues which are really important (like life!) then this is for you. The best value is when there is a moment when you have your mind changed as a result of listening! Outstanding

If you can get to HTLGI festival in Hay, go. If you can’t, listen to this. Ideally do both.

Well paced debates tackling issues which stand at the forefront of the phil landscape. I have been listening for a few months now and this has been the main podcast when I want to access challenging but stimulating content.

This is fast becoming my favourite podcast, each week is a completely different topic discussed by brilliant guests. Recent guests that I’ve particularly enjoyed have included Martin Rees and Nick Lane. Keep them coming !!

I was enjoying this podcast until e172 and this platform was turned into a stage to push the violent left wing narrative against President Donald Trump. You should all be ashamed with yourself and keep your opinions to yourself stop pushing this left wing narrative

They assemble outstanding people to discuss big issues. Mostly well, although there’s something a bit ‘stilted’ in the format: it’s done with a live audience as if it doesn’t want to be. But the introductions and endings are amateurishly horrible. Flat tiresome voice reading an overlong boring...Read full review »

Fascinating debates and an overall wonderful set of interesting episodes. However very disappointed by the Rupert Sheldrake appearances; I was shocked by his nonsense having a place among such otherwise wonderful guests.
