Not a perfect podcast but an informative one. Philosophy for the rest of us.

Why does the host interrupt the speakers so much it is rude ,we want to hear them talk without being rushed or cut off.Its unnerving I actually stopped the podcast because of this .

Sorry dude, the stuttering and ‘Umming’ and ‘Errring’ and hesitations disrupt the flow. Good luck

The self righteousness is disgusting. In all sincerity, Bring this podcast back.

Basically it is a good podcast covering a wide array of philosophical themes. However the quality of the episodes depends a lot on the guests since they are the one talking about the topic. So I regret a lack of consistency from episodes to episodes. The one about quantum physics is excellent.

It’s impossible to fathom how Philosophy Now allowed this presenter to lead these podcasts. The blokey-laddish faux-thick disorganised style/tone of explaining the issues and questioning the guests are more than annoying and banal, and often spiral off into almost complete incoherence. And we...Read full review »

Great content but a little irritating when the narrator is obviously reading straight from prepared text - may need a little training in presentation

A brilliant way to get your mental cogs turning at the beginning of the day. The debates stimulate introspection and help you build your perspectives about life. It's a must listen.

It's a great podcast, but for someone that lacks extreme love for philosophy, it's hard to listen to without losing interest. It's rich with info but it's so monotone I can't listen all the way through without breaks.Read full review »

I listened to the episode on quantum mechanics. The guest was BRILLIANT. The host rudely interrupted the guest every 30 seconds with senseless comments.

I listened for one minute and had to stop because the narrator uses an excessive amount of filler words such as 'um' and 'uh' I really enjoy philosophy but can't listen when someone still has a nagging fear of public speaking. Go to Toastmasters. They show you how it's done.Read full review »

Please don’t change ANYTHING. Having such a clearly befuddled host interview such piercingly smart guests is one of the most hilarious and entertaining things I’ve heard in a while. Oh, and there are some pretty smart conversations. Most of them ultimately come to really long-winded, tortuous...Read full review »

Heard two podcasts- quantum theory- the guest was confronted by not just ignorance but hasty ignorance, and the Buddhism, where they found someone who was not a practising Buddhist but had read about it. Lofty aims in both programmes but wide of the mark. I would recommend philosophy bites instead.

The guy being interviewed is really good, but the host is absolutely ruining the show. Unfortunately the host is so annoying and his...Read full review »

Listening through about five episodes I had to stop because of irritating things like sometimes the host sounding out of breath, stopping the guest in the quantum episode before any philosophy of the subject was actually discussed, people sounding impatient and annoyed with each other, and most...Read full review »

I find the discussions on this podcast are very enjoyable. Nice to be able to work and also listen to interesting conversation about serious topics. Good guests and the host is fine.

Host, please allow your guests to finish their responses before interjecting your comments and questions. It really interrupts the flow for the listener and stops your guests from fully answering. There is a sense of impatient tension listening to this podcast. This is unfortunate because the...Read full review »

I enjoy your podcast, enlightening. I bypass the musical interludes, if that comment is constructive, other options might be better.

im trying to get over it, but its so annoying the way the host talks over the interesting things his guests are saying, interupting and sidetracking them. and theres a lot of breathing and and chairs rustling and the like that are distracting and amateurish. too bad bc the actual content is great.
Anji Day via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/07/14
great guests, but the host needs to be quiet and listen to them more! cutting them off constantly is infuriating.
