Travel podcast 2.0. This is such an amazing project. You really get to know a place through its history and people. I’ve learned so much about cultures, inequalities, environmental issues, and so much more. I definitely recommend this podcast if you love learning about places and people.

Love listening to this show. A little insight into other worlds. Looking forward to it coming back.

I really enjoyed all of these, especially Black Utopia and Science Sky. The idea both of spiritual utopia and building for the future was exciting, along with the precise measuring of the past and being able to interview indigenous cultures while they’re still here was illuminating. I really...Read full review »

I was so moved and heartening by this story of Soul City, but most of all the idea of “Active Hope”! It touched me deeply the founders soaring enthusiasm to hope and to work! The idea of being a part of something so big that you live in a spiritual utopia is Amazing! This is how I want to live!

I’m so happy to have discovered this podcast! It’s informative, educational, inspiring, and entertaining. Listening to the Lima episode was so enlightening. I’ve been to Peru five times and had no idea about the amazing music scene. Through the episode, I learned more about the history, society,...Read full review »

In a time when everyone has a podcast, this one stands out. Part travel, part culture, part human story, it’s well-constructed and compelling.

Another outstanding project by TED. Makes me feel more in touch with the global community. Learning new perspectives from around the world makes me more grateful and inspired to engage with my own life. Saleem is a fantastic guide who asks the right questions and learns along aside us.

This podcast is everything I’ve needed right now and more! It’s provocative, original and captures the essence of some of my favorite shows like Parts Unknown.

Love the idea and concept of this show. And the host has a friendly voice. But the guy he interviewed about Bangkok just said so many things that were inaccurate. If you’re going to explain things about another culture, get your facts right.

This podcast is truly incredible. At a time when the global pandemic has made international travel off limits, this show manages to bring the world’s cultures, histories and landscapes alive in a way that feels as though you are there yourself. It is well produced, engaging and easy to listen to....Read full review »

Most messed up show I’ve listened to! Those kids need to be saved from their sick parents allowing them to learn to kill and loot.

I stumbled on this podcast and I am so happy we listened. Our first episode was Rapa Nui...great listen that lead us down a few rabbit holes.

A real fun, informative, and well produced podcast. The host doesn’t just read a script but it’s also not just endless banter, a really great balance. What a great way to “travel” during the pandemic.

So today, 11/8/20, this podcast came up in a “you may be interested” type situation and I clicked on it right away. Imagine my surprise when I clicked on the Oct 27 episode, it was detailing the people and places I had just seen on my recent travels out West! You actually answered a few questions...Read full review »

In my opinion this is one of the best podcasts out there. Incredibly informative, amazing production quality. It reminds me of 99% Invisible from a year or so ago when they were at their peak. This podcast could become my #1 recommendation to people who want to “try podcasts.”

Absolutely love Pindrop! I look forward to this each week. It’s so refreshing to have an outlet in today’s environment that is educational, immersive in different cultures, and upbeat with energy and positivity. This podcast embodies “hope” for planet earth!

The reporter is a woman, the narrator a man. Over half a dozen people interviewed for the episode about a town in Germany, all men. Not a woman’s voice to be heard. Maybe the town doesn’t have any women living there? Or maybe this is just another tone deaf podcast that doesn’t realize the...Read full review »

Really enjoyed this podcast in particular the mantua story. All the other ones were also well told. The google stuff was a bit awkward. But understand the need to pay for the podcast.

Fantastic podcast so far! Every week I hope for a 6th episode (please bring us more!) I love how the creators not only show us a new corner of the world each episode, but chose aspects of each place to focus on that, as a tourist, you might not even think about. It’s a great way to travel while...Read full review »

In all your stories, I am traveling and learning about another world I will never get to see. But in my minds eye with the expertise of your knowledge, and knowledge of your guests, I am in all those places you introduce to us. Thank you so much. Love ❤️

Every episode is like two in one. Not only am I enjoying learning about these fascinating places around the globe. I am also loving the stories shared through the “commercials” about Google’s Women Will initiative. Thank you!

Glad to find this podcast. Sort of unhappy to hear Target and other corporate chain stores being praised on the Mantua, NJ episode. That is my only caveat. Excellent podcast!
