Speaking up for ordinary people
It’s ironic that the paper most closely associated with the Conservative Party has produced a podcast that consciously seeks to express the views of the ordinary men & women on the Clapham omnibus. But today’s media is dominated by an elitism that derides the views of ordinary people. Allison Pearson & Liam Halligan are terrific at expressing the opinions of these forgotten people in the appropriately named “Planet Normal”.

Looking for the similarities and not the differences in us all, I am giving the telegraph a five for encouragement in the effort to relate with this new podcast. I love my roots and upbringing but if I were to only have time for my own, what does that say about me?

Brilliant stuff from Allison and Liam, the voice (or rather voices) of reason. So refreshing to hear the thoughts and feelings of ordinary people reflected by journalists! Roll on next week’s podcast...
