On vaccine hesitancy
This podcast compared the ‘very rare’ number of blood clots as a result of theAstraZeneca vaccine to the number of coronavirus case with the implication that you had to weigh these odds. Isn’t the real weighing up between the AstraZenica and the Phizer or Moderna- how many blood clotting incidents for these? The hesitancy is not anti vaccine, it’s anti AstraZenica. Melissa Cunningham just didn’t get this and blithely reports that after speaking to their doctor people are go ahead with the AstraZenica. She makes the wrong comparison. Twenty four ( with 21 confirmed) cases of blood clotting in less two million is not extremely rare and not to be discounted. And how many from the Phizer??? The government signed up for AstraZenica ahead of any other ( it appears safer) vaccine. Isn’t that the real issue.
