“What was the point of bringing on the focus group guest who downplayed the fight for trans people in favor of the “working class,” as if those groups are somehow mutually exclusive? So gross and flippant, and y'all should be embarrassed to have this person on the podcast. The fake fight against “wokeness” is such tired scapegoating, and it only applies to issues deemed irrelevant (i.e., is it woke to want access to abortions?).
It’s dangerous to conflate cultural elitism and the fight for oppressed minorities, and it’s clear that y’all talk about the working class in an academic sense because you literally don’t know about it from lived experience.
It’s also interesting that Sarah Longwell constantly admitted that she ignored the signs in her own data pointing toward a Trump win, yet now she seems enlightened enough to give guidance on what the dems should do moving forward.
The dems will continue to lose elections because many of you are missing the obvious point which is that the people are rejecting the status quo the party is working to uphold. This is no longer the party of progress; corporate interests have taken over the party and it’s insulting to our intelligence to say otherwise. Bring in more guests who are part of community organizations on the ground, less out of touch consultants. This podcast is lacking perspective.”Read full review »
