“As a UK listener to the Pod Save America it was interesting to hear left wing political operators dissect the news in an interesting and informed manner. Sadly the UK edition is not that as the hosts, while very likeable, lack relevant expertise and understanding. This was highlighted in the latest episode covering the Cass Review. They allowed the guests to claim, without any challenge, that the recommendations of the independent systematic review by ex head of the Royal College of Paediatrics were somehow equivalent to the infected blood scandal. I would encourage anyone listening to go to the recent podcasts with Hilary Cass speaking to the editor of the BMJ or on a recent NPR to hear how the report was evidenced and what it actually says. We rightly expect and need the media to challenge medical and scientific disinformation around vaccines. However the media should maintain the same high standards when discussing other medical topics such as this. Also the endorsement for how to buy prescription only medications without a prescription is highly questionable coming after a section on children’s healthcare.”
