If it’s going to focus on the monarchy and the left side of the ‘culture wars’, that’s not great. The monarchy is nowhere near the biggest issue facing the UK and abolishing it wouldn’t make a big material difference to peoples lives. I’d rather sensible discussion about how to stop the hard right of the Tory party and achieve genuine/realistic progressive change in the UK. It seems a bit more Lovett or Leave It (increasingly insufferable with anti-UK bias) than Pod Save the World, which is a shame.”
