…or at the house of a childhood friend. This podcast truly captures what it’s like to be a Filipino American who’s knowledgeable, concerned, and interested in their community while also reserving the space necessary to bust their own and each other’s chops. Salamat for presenting a vibrant range...Read full review »

This show is great. Learning a lot about West Coast Filipino Americans. But, can you do some shows involving the history of Filipino Americans on the East Coast? Would like to know more about Filipino Americans on the East Coast their history and maybe some interviews.

This show makes me feel like I’m sitting down having chisme with my ates and kuyas. I love the family dynamic and Filipino insider jokes (I laughed so hard at the tinna-pie joke in the thanksgiving episode 🤣🤣🤣) Salamat to the hosts for being so funny and for creating a comfortable space for us...Read full review »

Since moving away from my family and LA for college and eventually a career in biomedical research, I’ve grown quite homesick and more curious about my roots and the experiences of other Filipino Americans. Love the show but a couple of the hosts are constantly using the word “like”, peppered on every sentence. There were times I had to stop listening, even when your topic &/or guests are super interesting, because of how much you like using “like”. And now I’m about to do the same thing. (Ugh)

My favorite is the PCN episode because it got me thinking about things I never would have, like if Fil-Ams doing cultural dances were cultural appropriation, and how there once was a time where the dances were the focal point and the skits were shoehorned in. PCNs are something I’ve become...Read full review »
