Description
Katie has been involved with the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) for many years, originally joining as a new member in an accounting firm. She has since risen to be a past president and remains actively involved in providing content for the organization.
The Amplify podcast first launched in 2017. In the early days, the podcast was produced sporadically with different volunteer hosts. Katie and the committee decided to change to a seasonal format to add more structure and consistency. Now, they record multiple episodes on the same topic to create full seasons that listeners can binge.
Katie enjoys the challenge of interviewing smart guests and learning from their experiences. She helps determine topics, line up guests, craft questions and ensure consistency across episodes.
While the podcast faces challenges due to relying on volunteers, it provides a way to educate both members and the wider accounting community. Katie is passionate about continuously improving the podcast and finding new ways to distribute the valuable content.
