Always interesting both for the politics and the commenators
This is a really charming podcast. Slate was founded by liberal columnist Michael Kinsley and was, I think, the first online opinion journal. The political gabfest reflects its excellence. John, David, and Emily are certainly liberals, but not of the knee-jerk variety. The gabfest is thoughtful and intelligent, but also a lot of fun. You get the feeling that these folks really enjoy each other's company, and the way they play off of each other is really quite lively. Slate is a great magazine and the disscussion on this podcast only examplifies the high quality of the show. I find the discussions very insightful and I really enjoy listening to their conversations. Keep it up! Perhaps a biweekly podcast would also work well, 30 minutes a week is too short.

Sort of hard to listen. Emily's voice is not meant for the radio. Very shrill and whiny. Don't agree with much of what they have to say even though I'd consider myself on a similar part of the political spectrum. Some items treated very superficially.
