Or, Liberal Elitists Fawning Over Obama for 30 minute-fest
I am thoroughly disappointed by the last few gabfests.  In the past I rather enjoyed them, but over the last month, there has been something rather frustrating. It is apparent that Emily, John and David personally don't know any conservatives. While this is no surprise as they call the bosom of liberalville, the East Coast, home.  While I'm sure this is probably (hopefully) not true, they have failed on numerous occasions to accurately state the conservatives' positions.  Instead, they have allowed their elitists views put up more strawmen than Oz. For example, the Tea Parties were a protest to doubling and tripling the national debt and increasing government involvement, not just taxes.  Also, Cheney didn't support the releasing any of the so-called "torture" memos, but when Obamanation decided to release some of them, he opposed Obama's conveniently releasing selected memos to merely score political points.  So Emily's nasally and snide call of hypocrisy on Cheney's part rings very hollow. Your podcast on the takeover of GM was criminal in how incomplete it was.  You didn't even address the issue of government now invading private companies and telling CEOs to step down. How can you characterize your podcast as a serious look at politics and completely miss this issue? I have no delusions and don't expect that Slate, the viral arm of msnbc, aka "the cave that houses the intellectually bankrupt Olby," to change its ways.  But maybe an attempt at journalistic integrity can start with Emily taking down the poster of Obama from her high school locker.Read full review »

More reviews of Political Gabfest
I like listening to Jon, Emily, and David, rummage through the political news of the week. All are characters. Emily is sort of scatter-brained. David is the somber negative drone, and Jon is the mad hatter. Very enjoyable.
