Good but needs more political balance
Predictably slanted to the left, but at least the host challenges some of the standard left leaning opinions. Would like to see more balance in the conversation. The health care reform town hall protestors are an interesting phenomena. Activism and protests are usually associated with the left, so when moderates and conservatives get up in arms about something, some reverance and validity should be given to the protests, rather than dismissal.

Slate is a great magazine and the disscussion on this podcast only examplifies the high quality of the show. I find the discussions very insightful and I really enjoy listening to their conversations. Keep it up! Perhaps a biweekly podcast would also work well, 30 minutes a week is too short.

The hosts' analysis is generally quite thin, pretty much what you might hear at a college lunch table: basically a standard regurgitation of more or less conventional liberal takes on contemporary goings-on.
