Good with John Dickerson...
I think John Dickerson has generally thoughtful and well informed commentary and Emily Bazelon often provides insightful commentary. David Plotz, however, seems a liitle too self-involved and is mostly just annoying. Perhaps he's a better editor than he his commentator. Bottom line is I like it when Plotz is off and delete the episode when Dickerson is off.Read full review »

Slate is a great magazine and the disscussion on this podcast only examplifies the high quality of the show. I find the discussions very insightful and I really enjoy listening to their conversations. Keep it up! Perhaps a biweekly podcast would also work well, 30 minutes a week is too short.

An interesting podcast for political junkies. The 'cocktail' feature at the end is a bit tedious. Also, Emily Bazelon has a penchant for sounding like a 15 year old Valley Girl, although others may react differently. Those two minor criticisms aside, the discussion is actually pretty good.Read full review »
