Podcast About Debt Ceiling Deal
Absolutely awful podcast with almost zero political insight beyond the very pedestrian and juvenile analysis. There was nothing about the Democrats’ political failure to deal with the debt ceiling in 2021. The “journalist” showed a profound misunderstanding of the funding mechanism of social security and Medicare. Normally, this is among the better political podcasts. This one? Awful. I WOULD like to caveat my review. The best part of the podcast is it’s at least center left. The right-wing “viewpoint” has no business in legitimate news because there are no legitimate “conservative” viewpoints. Simply stated, nobody can point to anything the right has done that has benefitted anyone other than white, upper class, bigots, and racists. It simply isn’t there. The best thing about not having to deal with Ofcon, or any other British “regulator,” is that there is no forced “impartiality.” Generally, there is the left or center left which is factual and anything which is right of center which is synonymous with lies, ignorance, and downright stupidity. My problem with this podcast is not that they don’t get it correct and truthful. It’s that the people they have on generally only have shallow knowledge of the subject matter. Too often they have journalists to talk about subjects rather than actual people in any given field.

Amongst all the 24 hour news cycle stream of nonsense this provides an invaluable level of insight.
