“Thank you for all the laughs you have given me through the horror of the last 14 years of Tory rule, pls keep it up, the banter between you’s all is what makes me keep listening.”

“I was excited to find a new political podcast (new for me at least) with a seemingly great range of topics, but the poor sound quality of this one and the ongoing inanity of the banter is a bit of a turn off.”

“Unfortunately seems like they guys at pol Joe have grown tired of making a politics podcast. Used to be a very good mix of comedy and funny chat and political insight, but now it seems to be very little political commentary and mostly just random rubbish then comments like who’s even listening to...”Read full review »

“Ed and Ava’s row about prison sentencing and nut allergies was so irritating I turned it off.
But other times I cry laughing. So meh, you get what you get on the day I guess.”

“What should a podcast have? Topics that relate to the theme of the podcast? Good audio? Decent political analysis? You won’t find that here.
You will find that it was never about the destination, but the Reform supporters we met along the way.”

“I really wanted to like this and get a fresh take on politics (Clue is in the name) but it is garbage and self absorbed dross with hardly any topical debate. Ava manages to be cutting and really insightful but is limited by her special needs co-presenters. Just woeful”

“The content is ok. A bit too much waffle but I can live with that. It is what it is. They’re aiming for relaxed conversation rather than slick presentation and that’s ok.
What I can’t deal with is the poor sound quality and editing. E.g Rustling wrapping paper beside the mic. Drinking while...”Read full review »

“As much as I enjoy your journalism and banter I must say it’s hard to hear you unless you’re in a quite indoor space. It’s completely impossible to listen to your podcast in the car so, no road-trips with Politics Joe. Either recording or editing (or both) leave a lot of space for improvement.”

“Huge amount of studenty giggling and ‘bants’. Tediously pro-Starmerites who fail to bring up that he’ll continue to sell weapons to Israel if/when he becomes PM; anyone who disagrees with this foreign policy are definitely extreme leftists.”

“On the episode of 01.03.24, journalist John Sweeney (he of Panorama Scientology shouting fame: “no! You listen to me!”) was used to opine on matters. He is very much discredited. He has suggested on his Twitter account Lucy Letby may have suffered a miscarriage of justice. This is crass, and...”Read full review »

“As a law student who just moved here from America I enjoy listening to this while prepping notes and studying; laughed out loud a few times. This podcast not only aligns with my personal views/ beliefs but helps me understand the political culture in the UK. I obviously can’t vote but I do not...”Read full review »

“Smashing it.
Loses a star because they occasionally forget it’s a podcast and do something for the youtube account. And the occasional not getting to the point.”

“And hate nonces.
Great political podcast through a millennial(ish) lens. Olly, Ava, and Ed all hugely talented. I don’t agree with everything said but often understand why it’s said. Subreddit content is one hell of a bonus.
Sorry to be that guy, but Ben Smoke is not up to your level. Wasn’t...”Read full review »

“Nice to hear a politics podcast that’s casual and not ‘newsy’, but all three hosts agree about pretty much everything and every view feels like it’s right out of the Guardian, so it’s not that interesting in reality.
On the flip side, they are obviously passionate about their views, which is...”Read full review »
