“As I listened at first, I thought... a little on the giddy side?
I had been expecting more NPR-serious. Then I relaxed into and started appreciating. How clever and witty, I thought, these Public Radio people are. Who knew!
It's looser (more upbeat?) than Cultural Gabfest but almost always equally discerning. And as with Cultural, it offers an insightful way to keep up with the world of pop. So you don't have to actually wade in.
But unlike Cultural, at least once a broadcast I'm laughing out loud.
