“I love Linda Holmes' blog Monkey See, and I really appreciate this podcast for its fine dissection and appreciation of pop culture. The crowd is made of smart people with envious jobs at NPR, as they remind us at the top of every show. It's relaxing and interesting to listen to, and often funny.
I hate to be this person who says this show needs more women, but this show needs more women. At least, one more female voice. I'm well aware that it's anchored by a woman (again, big Linda Holmes fan here). But I loved hearing Barrie this week, she just made it feel more balanced. When it's the men, it often veers off into tangents that are less interesting to people who are not super into comic books.”Read full review »
