What a blast!
Mick often interviews young directors and refers to them as 'Spielberg kids', well, as a child of the 80s, I was a Garris/Dante/Landis/Romero/Carpenter kid. Post Mortem is such a treat, a really accessible way to hear stories about a lot of my favourite movies from the guys who made them. Mick's style is relaxed and inclusive, allowing his guests the freedom to meander and deviate from questions, often offering great 'bonus' anecdotes. I've heard many horror-related podcasts which are pretty manic, with probing interviewers, but Mick's enduring professionalism and total likability sets Post Mortem high above the rest, I mean, just look at his guest list! A quality podcast for any movie lover, but catering perfectly for a generation of horror fans who grew up with these filmmakers, of which I am a proud member. My favourite(s) so far? Is has to be Tom Holland and John Carpenter, like catching up with old friends.Read full review »
