Harry Potter for Grown-ups
One of my favorite podcasts, Pottercast is funny, entertaining, and informative. Few podcasts not done by professional media outlets can match the production values. The chemistry between the three hosts, Melissa, John, and Sue is great. I look forward each week to learning something new about the world of Harry Potter. One of the most appealing things is the fact that Pottercast is so firmly connected to the community from which it came. Modcasts and fan interviews mean that diverse viewpoints are presented. Call-in shows, HP filks produced by listeners, and the forums all provide opportunities for people to participate and not just observe. The extendable ears segment provides access to the viewpoints of people involved with the production of the books and movies that just isn't seen (or heard) anywhere else. More than anything else, however, the respect that the people behind Pottercast have for their listeners is their greatest asset. Everyone talks about podcasts and social networking. These people show everyone else how it should be done. Three cheers for Pottercast.Read full review »

This podcast is so well done you would think these talented people had nothing else to do all week. It is fast paced, has regular features and great sound. Other (non-commercial) podcast should be forced to listen to this podcast to hear how a podcast should be. Way to go Melissa John and Suz!
