Increasingly blindly partisan
Let me preface this by stating I’ve never voted conservative in my life (only NDP or Green) so I’m not coming at this from a disgruntled partisan “fake news” perspective. I know how hard it is to present news fairly in general but increasingly this show is quite frankly getting stuck in biased perspectives and the host is incapable of asking relevant questions. This is particularly prevalent on episodes regarding trans issues. I’m fully aware of the complexity and care required to have these conversations but this show has completely failed to present any honest portrayal of where people are coming from on both sides. It IS a very contentious and evolving medical issue with medical experts presenting legitimate arguments from different perspectives. It’s not a scientific issue like climate change which is settled; there’s both legitimate debate about the underlying ontology of gender/sex and more importantly questions about when and how medical intervention is provided to children. You have done entire episodes presenting an activist perspective without any nuance or honest analysis of the complexities of the situation. And just for reference this is the same perspective as my group of friends, none of whom are conservative, have felt about your coverage. Please do better at engaging with these topics!

Excellent program! Will really miss Rosemary Barton she asks tough questions and does her best to maintain neutrality.

I think Vassy is great but there are quite a few different panelists and I often feel quite frustrated that I don’t know who is speaking ?

From the panel it’s spin from every side, from the host it’s going softer on questions to conservatives and...Read full review »
