Vassy is extremely profession and is great to listen to. This is my favourite politics podcast.

This podcast is great - very informative, always to the point, and covers all views. Vassy is an amazing host, always keeping her guests in check, always pressing them further when they are either beating around the bush or trying make claims without evidence.

Recently started paying more attention to politics. PNP is the go to place for analysis, guests and keeping up to date. Vassy is amazing at not letting her guests dodge questions and holding those accountable to what their platforms promise. I look forward to every episode.

I think Vassy is great but there are quite a few different panelists and I often feel quite frustrated that I don’t know who is speaking ?

The show is great, Vassy is on point and presses guests from a non-partisan perspective which keeps the show feeling unbiased. Keep up the great work

The show is great and I listen/watch everyday. Aside from Amanda Alvaro’s relentless and tiresome partisanism, the only quibble I have is that the banner across the bottom of the screen seldom identifies the speaker or guest. Everyone knows Vassy - the excellent host of the show, but I am...Read full review »

Like a talking-head American show with everyone fighting to get their opinion in. Most of that is partisan spin. The ‘power panel’ is the worst for that, but the host is vulnerable too. From the panel it’s spin from every side, from the host it’s going softer on questions to conservatives and...Read full review »

Really enjoy listening to Vassey press people beyond their script.

This podcast will get you up to speed on all the political news. There is a good mix of information and opinion and the panels are excellent and usually well-balanced with members of all political parties

Can’t report the news past their bias

Listen daily to help keep up on politics in Canada. Vassy always asks the right questions.

Only issue I have with this show is the amount of guests who do not pronounce ‘lieutenant’ in the proper Canadian way. It is pronounced “lefttenant” not “lewtenant” north of the border. Love the diverse range of guests and the pertinent and impartial questions posed by the host.
Lu Teng via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 08/28/19
I appreciate all the hosts’ tenacious interviewing although even they aren’t able to get straight answers from most of the politicians who appear on the show. The Power Panel can be too partisan—especially Amanda Alvaro.

Keep Katie Simpson fulltime! She’s the best host!

I like Vassey. She handles all the political posturing well. Her panels are terrific. Show is a bit right leaning but it is a sign of the times. good effort & good coverage.

Unlike our US counterparts, I appreciate the balanced coverage and views. Inquisitive questions by Vassey to all parties.

Stick to your values-Canadian journalists at risk of becoming like their American cousins. Trash politics leads to journalists chasing celebrity stories. Hard to believe but it’s true listening to some of these stories reported here leaves me to be concerned with CBC and the direction they’re...Read full review »

The guests are a grab bag, but Vassy always skilfully gets the best out of them.

I love how Vassy doesn’t let her guests off the hook. When she asks the question and the guest dances around it with vagueness, she lets them know straight that they didn’t answer it and gives them another chance (even though sometimes they still don’t answer it). Anyways keep it up!!

Normally enjoy the podcast Finding Vassy, today, biased on occasion especially with Jagmeet Singh Also interrupting guests to make her point Is completely inappropriate. Please, please let your guests respond.

I like how host is respectful yet tries to hold politicians to truth instead of accepting their partisan hacklike responses.

I am very impressed with Vassy Kapelos as the host for power and politics!!! I haven’t listened to the podcast before last week, but I love how she interrupts with facts or expecting a clarification when politicians, bureaucrats and lobbyists are asked a direct question. It’s so good to hear host Vassy Kapelos call politicians to task and ask them real questions - and respectfully dismiss non-answers. Even though the standard formula of partisan pundits in the power panel toeing party lines can get repetitive, the gem moments of a minister or premier being told...Read full review »

I do not miss the old format which would occasionally include commercials and material that could not be understood without the accompanying video. I’m disheartened to see Vassy being regarded as standoffish in some comments. I like the insistence on a direct answer to a question (and think the...Read full review »

Although this podcast has its moments (which are few and far between) it’s largely a leftist stroke session. Courtesy of the tax payers of Canada. If you’re anywhere right of centre it probably isn’t for you. It does give good up to date information on the latest politics in Canada, and the...Read full review »

Refreshing to see Vassy’s smiling face each day tackling political issues in a unbiased manner , all awhile calling politicians out when they ‘ dance around ‘and avoid answering questions. Keep up the great work !!

So thankful for this podcast and that I gave it a shot. Modern day journalism (even at CBC) has let me down the last 20 years, even more so the last 5 years. Most “journalists” show their extreme bias towards society/politicians/guests/whatever, but this podcast asks straightforward questions and...Read full review »

This show is a breath of fresh air in today’s partisan media era. Vassy is an incredible interviewer and will call out the interviewee if they haven’t answered her question, no matter which party they belong to. The power panel almost always gives a wide array of views on the subject and it’s...Read full review »

A real light weight programme with a poorly informed host and stock "analysts" who provide their individual political biases but little in the way of insightful commentary or actual journalism. The PnP podcast is an incredibly riveting podcast filled with enlightening debate moderated by host Vassy. She pulls out all the stops, indiscriminately grilling each of her guest speakers (which range from politicians, to business elites, to top musicians) to get to the core of the issue. Bring back the power panel shortened podcast version. It’s nice having the quick recap version

Sadly, it’s a severely truncated version of the whole show that is badly edited. Would be nice to have an option of listening to the whole show as well.

I miss the old format. I enjoyed Rosie Barton and Kathleen Cullen(sp?) but really find Vasy (sp?) has it got the rhythm of the show-appears to just be trying to get through it - and often ends up sounding rude. When first encountered this podcast it was hosted by Evan Soloman it was a quality show with a good balance of right, centrist, and left leaning pundits kept in check ( as much as this is possible) by the host.
