I am enjoying your series on The Presidents. But your statement about Andrew Jackson's "huge and decisive victory" at The Battle of New Orleans "Esentailly ends The War of 1812." The war of 1812 ended December 24th 1814 with the Treaty of Ghent. Due to the slow pace of information, The Battle of New Orleans (January 8 - 18, 1815) truly amounted to nothing more than a tragic loss of life.Read full review »
