I never knew I needed this!
I’ve been a subscriber to a few other AP pod’s, and I didn’t realize how much I wasn’t getting from them before I discovered Pretending to be People! The story-telling is amazing and fast-paced, and the combats are short and lethal, not drawn out for the entire episode. The stakes feel real and the whole world is in the balance. The characters are nuanced and lovable in their flaws. The sound quality is great and the music is even better. I am an early 30-something and their humor and references seem to line up with my generation, so I’m always laughing. They are nice people, and their care for each other and other humans comes through the Pod, too. Proud to be a new Patreon supporter for this excellent and entertaining podcast!

I started this podcast recently and instantly feel in love with the setting and story. Very spooky, very funny and the friendship of the cast shines through out. Very excited to see where the show goes :D

I am so vested in the story that I became a patron supporter. The first bonus episode let me know I...Read full review »

This fun actual play is a pretty fair representation of what would happen if the Super Troopers faced off against Cthulhu. Most of the plot itself is squarely in the realm of horror, but our goofball protagonists often manage to screw up sufficiently to turn scenes comic. I’m about 20 episodes...Read full review »
