“I am an avid consumer of political podcasts (including Political Gabfest, NPR Politics and 538 Elections Podcast) and I found this one to be somewhat uninteresting. The guests don't engage in very deep analysis of the issues (a la Gabfest), and there isn't a very broad set of perspectives. The Trump show featured two people who actually seemed to like what Trump stands for (but one didn't like Trump personally) and the Democratic primary show featured two people who held similar depressing (and frankly not well justified) views of the Democratic Party. At one point in the Democratic primary show, the Bernie supporter even used anecdotes about first time voters he met to try to debunk the Hillary supporter's argument that voter turnout had been low in IA and NH. This is not high quality or insightful analysis. I don't really care to hear the opinions of the commentators--I want to hear some actual analysis of actual facts.
For those who follow politics closely, this show doesn't add all that much. There also seems to be a lack of diversity, which probably contributes to the homogeneity of thought.”
