Re: “Now and Then.”
Removing the bridge was a terrible decision. Musically it’s beautiful and makes the song richer, and lyrically it complicates the song’s ideas in a way that is typical of Lennon, who, by the way, would have abhorred Beatles myth-making as a motivation in the studio.

Smart, informative and entertainingly. I found this Beatles podcast after listening to another which, to be kind, was ridiculous. Jason knows his stuff and I love the insight of local musicians. I’ve learned a lot about songs I’ve heard thousands of times, can’t wait for the next one!
