I don’t know how Jason does this without ads but I’m not complaining. I just found the podcast last night and have listened to every episode, a few of them twice. Thank you for providing listeners such a high quality foray into the production aspect of the Beatles’ work. I hope you can keep them...Read full review »

Removing the bridge was a terrible decision. Musically it’s beautiful and makes the song richer, and lyrically it complicates the song’s ideas in a way that is typical of Lennon, who, by the way, would have abhorred Beatles myth-making as a motivation in the studio.

One of my favorite listening experiences, in any medium, ever. I always learn something new, am frequently stunned, and always re-listen to each episode. Thanks for the high quality and well-produced show. It’s been since April’s stellar Strawberry Fields deep-dive, so we’re more than ready for...Read full review »

The podcast is well written and the technical details are well explained, so that beginners can keep up and the more experienced still learn a lot. Slick, professional presentation of info even this long time Beatles fan has never heard. I love hearing the tracks separated and hearing about the sixties trickery in production. Top notch stuff but it looks like it has come to an end? Hope we hear some more…

In short this is the best Beatles based podcast I have ever come across. The episodes are short and to the point but fantastically well produced. Do yourself a favour and listen to the lot in one sitting!

Very intelligent & informative podcast. If you want their recording technique depth, clothed in the “fab four” public story.. …. This is a very smart podcast!

Jason must be thanked for this wonderful podcast highlighting just how integral George Martin was to the Beatles. It's so frustrating that almost ever Beatles podcast and blog spends too much time on the mythology and palace intrigue (which can be interesting, up to a point) and very little on the music itself.
