Love to listen on the road
Hey guys, I found your podcast a few weeks ago and it is now one of my favorites. I completely agree with the mentality that different languages are designed and optimal for different applications. It has been beneficial to learn about the other languages I have little-to-none prior experience. I am giving you guys (through the podcast) 5 stars for the very good topics, fun banter, useful tools, great sound quality, and how much I can relate to both of you. With that being said the following paragraph is negative and can hopefully be used as a feedback loop. For me it is dissapointing that in each podcast the actual sections dealing with the "language throwdown" is typically shorter than desired and surface level. Overviews are great and a good idea for a medium as a podcast. But when the overall time duration is over 1 hr it would be nice if a minimum of half the time was spent on the unique language and perhaps not always compared to C (although it is pratically the root of all higher-level programming languages in one way or another). Keep up the good work, I appreciate the time and effort put into this and it isn't being wasted on me!Read full review »

I've listened to/through Objective C and was dreading getting to the end of the podcasts when voila! It's alive! Patrick and Jason have an easygoing (dare I say witty) banter with just enough detail to tease you into investigating the code or tool of the bi-week even more. A great...Read full review »

You get a good overview of what these programming languages are used for and what kind of tools you can use...Read full review »
