I just can't.
I started listening to this podcast with hopes of learning something new. I was only on my 4th episode today before I couldn't stomach it any longer. As an adult woman recently diagnosed with ADHD-Inattentive, I've been devouring everything I can about the topic, including reading and listening to the top experts in the field. Today I listened to their episode "ADHD - I'm on fire" or something to that affect. I felt the first little bit of the 45 minute episode went over a few very basic traits of ADHD, then they got right on their soapbox. They went on and on about everything BUT ADHD. Everyone thinks they have it, most people are drug seekers and addicts etc etc. Literally SO MUCH about drug seekers and how doctors know when someone is seeking. How addicts abuse stimulant medication. How all the kids know about and abuse Adderall. I mean I know these things happen but they go so overboard. I thought I was listening to learn about a neuro developmental disorder not about addicts and how to spot seekers. She is also very adamant about not using stimulants if you have a comorbidity like depression or anxiety as they WILL make it worse. Not may or might, but will. In reality many people are anxious and depressed BECAUSE of their ADHD symptoms and do great on stimulants. She also said Wellbutrin is FDA approved to treat ADHD Inattentive - that is false, it is only used off label. Basically I feel as if they did nothing more in this episode besides feed in to the stigma against ADHD and stimulant medication and spread a lot of false information. I now feel I can't believe anything either of them say and don't trust them to give true, unbiased information about mental health. I won't be listening to these quacks again.Read full review »

I really appreciate the effort you both provide in educating us through various interesting topics. However, I will distinguish setting from the way the...Read full review »

I’m in school to become a psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner and listening to this while driving just to increase my exposure. Really interesting talks. I really enjoy getting perspectives from this husband and wife team, a neuropsychologist and PMHNP.

Both doctors seem smart and knowledgeable, but the background sounds are very distracting. Sounds like he’s recording in his kitchen while his wife is doing dishes and cleaning. 😬
