Started out great, downward spiral later
The early episodes of the podcasts were interesting; an excited player who enjoyed gaming and her partner who was a bit jaded and bitter (the Murtaugh to her Riggs) would discuss games, themes, play styles and more. The debates and conversations were interesting and enjoyable. Flash forward 50 episodes and now after about 20 minutes of conversation about whiskey, music, movies and what is right or wrong about subjective matters, you eventually get a game discussion. I guess the replacement host for Kristen is good, but the debates Jim runs now seem almost mean spirited and borderline pointless. 5 stars for the first dozen episodes or so but now it just is something I can pass on by.

The hosts genuinely enjoy board games, and their insightful commentary on board games is a welcome addition to the hobby.

I finally got around to reviewing this podcast! Great banter and discussion! They are not just repeating rules, but they give their opinions and musings on what makes the game good or bad. The focus is on mid to heavy Euros! Great podcast! Keep'em coming!!!Read full review »

Checkout Punching Cardboard if you like deep dive reviews of heavier board games along with a side of good conversation about their latest alcoholic beverage discovery.
