*The Best* Film Podcast
Even though it's still relatively new, I am confident in saying that this is easily my favorite film podcast. The hosts' level of knowledge and love of film is ridiculously strong, yet they're completely unpretentious and have a super inviting, lived-in rapport. Very professional, too (read: no mouth noises), without being overly polished or obnoxiously brand-conscious like at least one of the major film podcasts. It really hits the sweet spot of avoiding the pitfalls of both amateur and professional productions. The "top"-five format is engaging and just the right amount of time is spent on each film (that being said, a long-form deep dive on a particular film would be fascinating from these two). It really is perfect. I'd recommend it for any seasoned or aspiring movie obsessive, but especially those with an interest in fringe/genre/cult film. My only suggestion for improvement: for the purposes of list/queue adding, it would be super helpful if the title of a chosen film were repeated at the end of its discussion. Keep up the brilliant work, gentlemen!Read full review »

Brian and Elric take you to byzantine quadrants of International film, from the high to the low. I love how expected their curation tends to be, and how great the topics are -- it's a real clinic in cinema culture, care of two experts.Read full review »
