For female athletes, challenging gender stereotypes is a part of the game in every corner of the world. Somewhere along human history, the mere act of moving our bodies, became unfeminine. Today on the show, we’re exploring the gender challenge of playing. You’ll hear from Nicole– a soccer player from the U.S., Sukaina a basketball player from India and Amrita – a netballer also from India. For all three of these young women, their deep love for the game forced a negotiation, with their families, their communities and even within themselves.
