The advertisements. Man. I totally support advertising - but the volume is just unreasonable. If anything, it makes me want to listen to the podcasts advertised —less—.

Great content it’s exactly what I want to hear . However there are ads every two minutes and they extend to four minutes long. Absolutely impossible to listen to this podcast hands free without the ads. Very annoying.

I generally love this podcast, but I invite the host, Johnathan Walton, to check the language he uses in relation to women. Using phrases like, you were taken with her because “you want to bang her” and commenting on women’s physical appearance after suggesting that it’s okay because of his own...Read full review »

I absolutely love how Johnathan tells these stories in such a compelling and compassionate way. It is devastating to hear how so many people can fall victim to bad situations brought on only because they were kind and trusting.

Ok, so I know shows need to play Ads to help pay, especially for those (like me) that don’t want to pay. But having a 2-3minue advert at the start, end and very 10minutes into the show just make this unbearable to listen to. Which is a pity, as I really like the show. But seriously, having...Read full review »

I stumbled across this podcast because I’m a real housewives fan. I actually listened to season 4 first and really enjoyed it! When it was over I was so happy to know that there were 3 others seasons to binge. Each one of them were so incredible. I sad that just finished all of them and know I...Read full review »

Good content. Used to commercials but this podcast has a ridiculous amount during the stream it’s unbearable.

Discovered this podcast after listening to Scamanda and I haven’t stop!! Definitely worth the listen.

I really like this podcast especially the first two seasons. There’s a catch though. I don’t mind ads for podcasts to remain free as I can’t afford subscriptions to anything right now but I can’t even follow the story with iheart pods anymore with so many loooong ad breaks and then...Read full review »

All seasons are good. The comments about the ads are valid - they are annoying and too much - but I just fast forward through them.

Started at season 1 and about to wrap 3, can’t wait for 4! The host does such a great job digging into the minds of these con women and revealing all the twists and turns. The pace and guests he brings on are great. I would love to see this turn into a show, definitely worth the listen and I...Read full review »

I absolutely DEVOURED this whole series in a matter of days. Every chapter was compelling and interesting. Will follow and wait for the next season.

Cringe writing, cringe voice acting. Couldn’t get through first episode. There are a ton of true crime podcasts out there…find a better one.
MusicalCrab via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/22/23
My top 3 favourite podcasts I’ve found. The story is always fast paced but very thorough. He is incredible at research and he has a passion to tell these stories as a victim himself. Well done! I’d be so sad if he stopped making them, I love a good podcast while I’m driving or doing housework.

I listen to tons of podcasts and many just don’t live up to the blurb. I started this one (season one about the Irish heiress) because I’m Irish and I was curious but I wasn’t expecting a lot, truly. However this turned out to be one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to over the last 5 or 6...Read full review »

Started to listen for the Jen Shah story and find the podcast to be compelling. But it’s a 30 minute podcast with EASILY 15 minutes of ads each episode. The ads really interrupt the flow of the pod episode. Wouldn’t mind it if they were at the beginning/end, but they are scattered through out as...Read full review »

Season 1 of the series was excellent with Johnathon sharing his own story of being conned. Seasons 2 and 3!had good story telling but became a little more sensationalized. Season 4 is unfortunately just gossipy. The story of fraud committed by Jen Shah deserves a deep dive into reality tv...Read full review »

5 stars for most annoying host ever - narrating like a game show or commercial.

i’m so here for all this drama i love it! it’s like bravo in a podcast! the host is hilarious and over the top, which may annoy some, but it’s great to hear a host so invested. who wouldn’t b mad ab scammers getting away w their crimes??? he absolutely brings it! the people he has on as guests...Read full review »

I’m a podcast junkie and listen all day while I’m working or in the evenings. Episode 7 kinda ruined the series for me…At the end of the day, I was sick of hearing Emily Baker say “at the end of the day” over and over and over. At the end of the day, you only need to listen to the first 6 episodes.
Mark "cutback" Davis via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/07/23
Really enjoyed the podcast. Great interviews/guests/storytelling… would give 5 stars but between the ads, repetitive recaps, previews and credits — more than a quarter of each episode isn’t even real content. Have jump ahead 4 minutes just to get to the actual beginning of the episode.

We’re defending Holmes now??? The podcaster is delusional and so hard to listen to spout biased nonsense. And the 40000 ads per episode is ridiculous
ZiggyZoeZ via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/31/23
I really like this podcast but the Ads are sooo annoying and frequent. Especially the Chumba!! They’re the first thing you hear, last thing you hear and seems like every few minutes in between.

Listened to all the seasons. A fan of Jonathan. This latest one about Jen Shah was engaging. Frustrating that she won’t actually admit responsibility for ruining people’s lives.

Great cross section here. I loved this podcast and I love Emily. The background on Shah was weak. But listening to the host defend Holmes to try to make a point on how much worse another con artist is goes way too far. I mean, you did recognize that someone is no longer alive. Don’t defend a con...Read full review »

I’ve listened to all other seasons of the podcast and enjoyed them. But feels like producers/host could have actually watched RHSLC and created a much more in-depth and entertaining show… you missed A LOT.

Johnathan started making excuses for Elizabeth Holmes and Fyre Fest con. The literal definition of a con artist is a person who cheats or tricks others by persuading them to believe something that is not true. How are they exempt from being called a con artist?
