Your stories are so good. You have a talent for this.

Johnathan is a great host and the content is awesome. But 8.5 minutes of ads on a 40 min podcast is ridiculous, especially when they are the same ads over and over and over (and over!) again. iHeart Radio really needs to rethink their ad strategy because it made me stop listening.

Enjoyed the storytelling but most of all appreciated the warnings of your tale. Thanks for sharing with all of us!!!

Very well done. Jonathan Walton’s storytelling style and distinctive voice makes for an entertaining listen. I like his strong spirit of standing up for victims ignored by authorities.

To borrow from a previous review, “Jonathan YOU ARE doing God’s work.” I’m so sorry for what happened to you, but it does seem like you have a calling. Your first season kept me at the edge of my seat. But I think season two might even be better. It’s not a great feeling to look forward to...Read full review »

I like the podcast, the storyline is good, but seriously the narrator is obsessed with “my con artist”. We get it! You were conned! We listened to S1! You are making things relatable with saying “my con artist” 5 times an episode

I would rather chew broken glass than listen to the lawyer talk. I would have listened, but I could not stomach the voice of that woman. I could not even make it through the first episode…her voice was THAT bad.

As a British person, I can’t believe you guys fell for this lady? She has the least convincing accent since Russell Crowe, and things like her family saying “you’ll not get a farthing of your inheritance”.. do you think Ireland still uses farthings? Sooo many stereotypes about Irish and British...Read full review »

Jonathan is so great at storytelling and I love how authentic he is - when he talks to other victims or professionals working the case(s) he really listens and his reactions are so genuine. I hate that there are so many scammers out there but I hope Jonathan keeps going and uncovering more and...Read full review »

Love your podcast- well done! I just feel so sad for these people who were scammed. Glad you kept at it though, investigating.

Just a ridiculous amount of commercial introductions. Impossible to focus on show content.

I’m a True Crime junkie, but I have stopped listening to more than one podcast when a story isn’t engaging or isn’t told well. That is not the case here! The host is so invested and passionate about the story he’s telling. He cares about the victims and really makes the listener understand...Read full review »

Love the show! Everything is so well done, from episode structure to the perfectly timed pearl clutch. A new true crime avenue for me and I am really enjoying it. And Johnathan seriously can we be best friends…😅

A great service is being done by these podcasts by alerting others to the people who would rob them of their hard earned businesses and whatever funds they had managed to earn.

Exactly the voice and personality of someone I want to hang out with!! This is a fabulously addictive podcast!!

Jonathan is a great storyteller. It’s unfortunate he was taken advantage like that by such a terrible person. I think season 1 was better than season 2, because he was able to bring in his own personal experience and evidence regarding the con. Season 2 on the OC savior has already been done...Read full review »

I really liked this podcast, but I was surprised and disappointed to hear a recent ad for Parler. Not sure if I can support a podcast that has this type of advertisers.

I love this podcast as well as Jonathan’s last series. I really like the content and Jonathan’s reporting style. It’s like he’s a friend sitting beside you, telling a great story. Can’t wait for Jonathan’s next series. Keep up the good work.

Jonathon has great energy & shared a painful story that turns into a wonderful light! Pretty sure in the end Jonathan would experience it all again for the good that comes from turning lemons into lemonade, being persist, and seeking spiritual guidance when needed. ❤️🥷🏻

Jonathon is a good story tellerbut you should listened to what the female attorney sounded like before you pushed send. Horrible, makes me want to drive into a tree.

I love the stories but there are way too many ads. Probably works out to 1/4 - 1/3 of the episode length is ads
kaylellan via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 06/11/22

Excellent podcast! Listened both to the Maire one and now Lizzie. Wow—such amazing storytelling and editing, with the perfect amount of narrative and interview. Also, Walton is hilarious—sardonic about these shameless psychos but also always self-ironic. He gets really good stuff from...Read full review »

Between the ads and the recaps/previews the amount of new content and information each episode is about half of the episode’s duration. I’m really enjoying the story and I love the host (makes me laugh with his shocked & dismayed reactions) but I wish I didn’t have to fast forward so much!

I loved the first podcast about Mair. Although I think Jonathan is a good storyteller overall, listening to him interject his feelings, emotions and opinions became exhausting to listen to. I couldn’t get through first episode because of the girl’s voice who’s telling the story….Cringeworthy story with cringeworthy people telling it. Don’t recommend.

This could be a 2 episode podcast if there weren’t so many adds and repeated dialogue and information.
bbbbbbbbbcctyuhgrryyfuiohf via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/08/22
30 minute episodes with 5 minutes repeated from previous episode. 11 minutes of ads and another 5 minutes teasing next week which will get repeated. This is a cash grab for 10 minutes of content.

Binged this in a day, could not stop listening. The story is amazing and Jonathan’s ability to be vulnerable and open really helped make the story that much more compelling. Interesting content but a few notes: 1. We do not refer to Orange County as The OC. That’s what others call it based on a TV show. 2. Not all of Orange County is like this.
