Hate is hard to enjoy
While mair needs to face justice and clearly needs psychological intervention with her compulsive lying, it is sometimes very difficult to listen to the host. Not that the story isnt morbidly fascinating and a wild ride, but hearing someone gleefully gloat over restraining order attempts and cackle about how effective their bullying is... is just a bad look. The host positively loves to hate mair, utterly wallows in his loathing, and that is just disgusting to hear in a human voice these days. His friends and spouse are right, this obsession brings out a vile side of him.
