“DISCLOSURE: I know the DM and his partner from when I lived in Seattle. I have never met any of the queens in person, but I saw the second live show (the one set at the amusement park).
Having been in on the Queens of Adventure goodness since it first started, I was so happy to see nerd culture and drag culture collide. While it made for a great live show I wasn't so sure about the podcast format, but after giving it a few episodes I wouldn't miss an episode. Not only are the queens hilarious, the story engaging, the editing and Foley really fun, and the off-color place names amusing, there's one thing about all the queens that makes this a not-miss of a podcast: These queens are 100% committed to both their personas AND to the story. Each one takes her turn in the spotlight, supports the others, and treats the story seriously, even though the overall tone is anything but serious.
