Fantastic. This story made me question why we often label blue collard workers as “less than”. They make an honest living providing for their family, still we often get these stories of blue collard workers telling their kids that they shouldn’t have to do such physically straining labor. I’m...Read full review »

You’ll love “Quién Are We” which is distinctive from those two, ie, the focus of QAE is on May Ortega’s conversations with individual people. You get the microcosm of an individual Latine person which gives you nuance at the same time that you also have a window onto the broader Latine culture....Read full review »

May does a great job of bringing latino story telling to the forefront. It feels like home and it’s awesome to hear the pure joy and genuine convos. Really refreshing and I hope these go on! A lot of Latino communities around the states could benefit from this type of focused storytelling

I really appreciate the variety of content offered by this podcast in response to a simple but also deep question. I always learn something and in the process find myself smiling. This show is a celebration and a road-trip journey (my favorite kind of journey). Thanks for the joy you bring, CPR!

I’m half Mexican and half white, and it can be difficult to put into words how I feel about who I am in terms of my ethnicity. But these conversations are honest and feel judgement-free. Thank you for that.

I love hearing the stories of people’s lives. I also like the underlying theme of joy and positivity. I grew up in a family that was always teaching me about the world and its peoples and cultures. This is a great continuation of my journey of learning as a non-Latina. Like the pleasant and fun...Read full review »

Felt the Latino joy when I recalled my mother’s love of baseball. Thank God we were able to buy her a new tv one year before the World Series so she could watch on HD. Great episode.

I can’t explain how excited I am to hear stories that sound like those of my friends, my community, and even…myself! I cant wait to tune in to even more!

My one critique is that there is not more episodes 😉 Jokes aside, I think CPR is really onto something here and I can’t wait to see where the show goes. It’s representation is obviously super important, but even as someone who doesn’t identify with any of the identities of the show, I really...Read full review »

I stumbled upon this today and it made my day I’m also from Matamoros like Jon’s father and hearing two people from the valley (puro 956!) tell their stories made my heart melt <3 gracias!

Great to hear empowering stories of Colorado, repping the Latin/Hispanic/Chicana/however you identify community. Hearing May Ortega step out of journalism world where she airs everyday and show her versatility with a backdrop of vibrant sound design is a joy. The first ep so far is short and...Read full review »

A rich dive into the cultural exploration of Identity and connecting to your ancestry. So excited for future episodes!! I’m already hooked to see how others are exploring their ancestry, it makes me feel not so alive in exploring my own. :)
