Dr McFillin is very wise. I’ve enjoyed his insights interview on another podcast and his X (Twitter) presence so starting to listen to some of his podcasts.

This is the main podcast I listen to as it articulated and exposes a lot of what is happening in the industry of mental health, as a former psychotherapist… I agree and can respnate with every point is dissected here! Thank you!

Roger, Sean and sometimes Kelly cover some difficult topics around medicine, science, truth and informed consent. Great listening! If only everyone could tackle conversations with differing opinions, values and perspectives so humbly while still maintaining their own position. ♥️

These guys bring in professional guests to have complex discussions. They are challenging the status quo in the best way and empowering people to take ownership of they’re own health.

Dr Mc Fillin has a way that speaks truth and wisdom that is not too ‘sciency’ and is so relatable to our states of life. He is willing to admit he is a work in progress himself, like all of us, and he is willing to challenge the narratives that anyone with intellectual honesty can see are lies.

I am coming up on the year anniversary of my husbands suicide. I found this podcast when I was searching for answers to his death. Because of the episodes I have been able to put puzzle pieces together - not only from the last year of his life as he was suffering through withdrawal from abruptly...Read full review »

Maybe the only good message this podcast is communicating is that medications shouldn’t be first line treatment when it comes to mental disorders. And meditation and a healthy lifestyle style should be encouraged more

Thank you Dr McFillin for stating the obvious. That it’s okay to feel anxious and want to run away from problems. It’s okay to have depression. It’s okay to feel sad and happy. That’s the normal human experience and life has its ups and downs. You reaffirmed the decision I made about getting off...Read full review »

It’s refreshing to hear a professional be critical of his own industry. The fields of psychiatry and psychology are ripe for a review of effectiveness. We need to challenge these professionals to stop overstepping their areas of expertise. Dr. McFillan is helping to lead that charge.

Anyone who is considering taking a psych drug should give this a listen before doing so. Many drugs don’t have the science behind them that we all think — and some can do great harm. But, really, anyone interested in living a good life will benefit from this podcast.

As A Naturopath and Clinical Nutritionist I have helped many people avoid psych meds or handle an underlying condition so they could titrate off meds with the prescribing physician. Drugging the human condition is not the answer and is not real help. This podcast dares to ask the right questions...Read full review »

Horribly biased hosts on here. They butcher the names of antidepressants yet are giving such black and white advice against their use. They have no experience prescribing these (and clearly upset because they can’t) yet they are going through studies as if they are experts. They are not. And they...Read full review »
