Unexpected Thoughtfulness
One of the problems with many "current affairs" podcasts is how they seem to cluster around the recognized political polarities. And you might think that a podcast that comes out of the Atlantic Magazine would be comfortably situated around the left end of the spectrum. But I was pleasantly surprised with the lanky, free-ranging thoughtfulness of this podcast's second episode, featuring Atlantic religion & politics reporter Emma Green. Give it a listen if you are even remotely interested in the impact of religion in American cultural and political life. You won't hear the usual defended positions & certainties. I like your approach. But there was one serious flaw. You all spent most of this podcast discussing Abrahamic religions. There are many other religions practiced in America like Hinduism, Buddhism etc. These people are active contributing citizens who vote too. And they exist in large numbers....Read full review »
