“I used to really like Radio Ronin and the community that was built around it, but it got really toxic to the point that I just had to leave the FB group. I can't stand the elitism from some of the group members when it seems they get into "Chungas inner circle". I won't drop names, but my interactions with one of the spouses of one of the current hosts is what really soured me on everything, the amount of backbiting and meanness is outstanding. It's no wonder they have problems keeping hosts. I would run away from it too.
My husband stopped listening earlier this year and I am following suit. I have loved listening to Chunga over the years, but my husband has pointed out many times how repetitive everything is and the topics don't differ much--from the weather, daylight savings rage and stories I am sure are just made up or variations of other made up stories. The show is stale, the community toxic and just not worth my time anymore.
It seems like a lot of other people in the reviews feel the same. Sad day, because listening to Chunga first thing in the morning was a highlight of my day at one point.”Read full review »
