I so enjoy listening to Jill Zimorski’s reviews, I wish she were my neighbor! I am amazed at how thorough she is, clearly a very intelligent woman with an extreme wealth of knowledge. I learn so much just listening to her reviews and really appreciate her honesty! Lynn

Jill is such a great wine educator! She so concise and clear when it comes to putting out the message. She goes through a variety of wine books she’s read, and recommends which ones you should READ and which ones your should BUY. A great podcast to follow if you’re an advanced wine aficionado,...Read full review »

You really want to know how many wine books mix up the terms ‘variety’ and ‘varietal’.

I discovered this podcast after Jill Zimorski and Shakera Jones’s did a German Region and wine tasting. I have listened to every episode and some more than once. Her book reviews have encouraged me to dive deeper into my wine knowledge. I love the diversity in her book choices.

I’ve just started season 2 of this podcast, and every episode has been enjoyable and unique, just as are the books which Jill chooses to discuss. Lovin this podcast! Definitely filling a much needed niche for us boozy bibliophiles! Been searching for tons of rando wine books on thriftbooks, thank you for helping me better weed through my choices. (P.S. Never would’ve picked up “Big Macs & Burgundy” & so pumped after your review)....Read full review »

Look forward to Wine Wednesday to listen to the next episode. Honest assessments no matter the author. Suspect Jill will be as honest and candid when she reviews her own book which has yet to be written.

I haven’t read the book, but I’ve probably watched the movie, in whole or in part, a dozen times. Both characters are so inherently flawed, their ability to make you uncomfortable is the perfect contrast to the beauty of the region, and the vulnerability of the two women. You just *know* it is...Read full review »

Great podcasts even for a French speaker! Thanks for the hard work! And for the discount code for the Blinders Game. I ordered the 3 therefore!

Amazing story telling from Jill. I am a wine industry professional, so I might have a soft spot for her, but the content is solid. Listen to this if you like wine or just want to hear an honest review of wine books. Bravo to the somm tv family.

Love listening to this podcast. I have read some of the books. Love her opinions and her discussion of the books. She is very knowledgeable. Hates when people use varietal and variety incorrectly! Can’t wait for more podcasts!

The wine world is pretty far outside of my wheelhouse, however, I have still found this podcast to be very interesting and also entertaining! The information that is discussed as part of the review of these books is presented in a way that makes it approachable for those outside of this industry...Read full review »

Very enjoyable podcast but harps on a lot of politics views that could be curbed. Would be four stars if better focus. I’ll update my rating if it’s fixed.

Jill makes this podcast both knowledgeable and approachable... her passion is evident and there’s no doubt that this adds tremendously to its already inherent appeal. In short- it’s fun and interesting. Just like a good bottle of wine!

As a WSET student, there is already so much reading and studying to be done, I can already tell this is going to be a tremendous help in what books to add to my “wine library” or what to skip. This first episode was the right dose of information and opinion on a great resource. Thanks, Jill! I...Read full review »
