I loved this podcast when I first found it, I still enjoy listening to some of the older cases they have covered so well. Unfortunately in the last year or so it has been uncomfortable to listen to as the hosts (Laura and Jim) seem to compete for who can talk the most and who is more...Read full review »

Lisa Zambetti is racist trash. Her comments that meth is the fault of *native Americans* while defending that P.O.S. Joe Exotic and his meth haven “zoo” has turned me off of this podcast, which was once my favorite. Why is she still there? No apology from Lisa regarding her disgusting racist...Read full review »

I enjoy some of the viewpoints of this show. I understand Laura and Jim are experts, but Lisa, honey, stand up for yourself! I feel like they can be really crass towards her and demean her opinion. Tell them how you feel and don’t back down girl!

I am wondering when Jim and Laura will respond to “The Killing of Jonbenet: Her father speaks”. I would be very interested to hear them respond to his comments and the real evidence put forth by reasonable and fair, scientists and detectives in place of the media slander and sensational hit...Read full review »

I have been a faithful listener of RCP since day one and couldn’t wait until the next episode dropped. Now, I feel like I struggle to get through an episode. Laura and Jim used to provide fascinating insights into the minds of those involved in the stories they were relaying and I always felt...Read full review »

Listening to their version of the Central Park Five was depressing; Jim, I don’t care if you lived in NYC at the time- there was no such thing as ‘wilding’ and it is downright irresponsible of you to suggest that ‘teen exploit’ ever existed. Anyone interested in these stories- look elsewhere. I...Read full review »

I’d really like to hear something on the Gabriel Fernandez case as well as the little boy Anthony Avalos and how the system is continuously allowed to get away with something like this.

this used to be one of my favorite podcasts, but the tiger king episodes have changed my mind. Carole Baskin is a manipulator and a gold digger. She’s not smart- she’s an opportunist. All this praise for her is remarkable. I also hate how the hosts go off topic soooo much during an episode and...Read full review »

I enjoy hearing real-world experts discuss and constructively critique “Real Crime” documentary, docu-drama and podcasting. So often in our culture the victims of crime shoved aside the public fascination with monstrous perpetrators, and RCP are doing an amazing job trying to educate the public...Read full review »

Started off about the profiling and the science and later episodes are just about Jim and Laura’s personal political rants. It’s not even tolerable to listen to anymore. If they could get back to understanding the criminal minds then it could be a good podcast again but listening to someone rant...Read full review »

In the now very over saturated category of true crime this is the one for people who respect and care about the victims and their families, want to understand better what goes on behind the headlines and from the professional perspective which educates the listener and rather than the...Read full review »

While the cases covered in the podcasts involve some bad and evil persons, the narrators infuse their bias far too willingly. Present the facts and key the listener la come to their own conclusion. Finally had enough when the narrators starting putting their own context into text messages

This is a great pod...for people who are already well across the cases they discuss. Not especially entertaining for people just looking for an overview. It’s pretty serious stuff and two of the presenters know their stuff. It’s dense with analysis. I’ve loved the deep diving into cases I know...Read full review »

Jim and Laura are rude to Lisa. It’s honestly uncomfortable to listen to and I don’t understand why they do the podcast with her if she isn’t on ‘their level’ because that’s how it comes across often.

Would really love to hear your take on the Gabriel Fernandez trials, how the system is failing in these families. How the families take advantage of money offered to them by the state and keep these kids that they abuse just for a check.

I’m usually a big fan of this show, but I have to comment on a remark made by Jim in one of the Tiger King commentary episodes. I’ve always enjoyed Jim, Lisa and Laura . Lately, it seems it’s The Laura Show.. She overrides everyone else and hammers away not allowing the other two to contribute . Please Laura, I understand your passion but can you retreat a bit to allow others to speak?

I’ve listened to most of the episodes and it’s true that Jim and Laura bring a wealth of knowledge to this genre mostly populated by armchair analysts. Love the true crime stories and respect their extensive knowledge but there are too many people trying to talk at the same time. Sometimes it even seems like they are trying to “outsmart” each other. Jim doesn’t seem to do this but Lisa and Laura do. Makes it tough to listen sometimes.
