Much better than telly
Really like this series, audio documentary is now one of my new loves; it keeps you gripped but heightens the imagination, like a good book. Paul McGann (aka Withnail)’s voice is perfect for dramatic effect and the sound design puts you right in the rooms with all these brutal leaders, in their childhood, and in their later years, all at big points in their lives. The talking heads are all really captivating with their knowledge. Only downside is that I’m writing this on a Thursday waiting for the seventh episode which should have been available by now. It says new episode every Wednesday in the description.

Reasonably well put together history podcast. Would benefit from some input from a Russian academic viewpoint. Difficult to get past Paul McGann trying to sound like Laurence Olivier, but otherwise okay.

Read the title of my review. That’s enough.

I have never heard or read anything about the North Korean leader’s biographies. Really appreciate how well done this podcast is. The depth of this family’s depravity and cruelty boggles the mind. No wonder our current White House occupant admires them.
